HOW TO ENTER:
The competition will run on the following Spotify URL: http://open.spotify.com/user/nirvanaspotifyplaylists/playlist/3AM84Z6C0Xk9UcuMaPd90g.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win the competition but entrants should be aware that they may be subject to local call charges depending on their own individual arrangements for internet access. To enter you must subscribe to the Spotify playlist titled ‘Nevermind – Subscribe to Win’ by clicking the ‘Subscribe’ button on the Spotify service here by 14 October 2011.  All entries must include entrant’s name, date of birth, home address, daytime telephone number, and email address. By entering the competition, entrant consents to receiving additional UMO and artist promotional information.

The competition will begin on 9 September 2011 and the deadline for receipt of entry is 14 October 2011 at 6pm (GMT). The first and last name provided by entrants in the Spotify account details will be the identity of the entrant and, if selected for the prize, the identity of the winner/s. The use of a bogus name or email address will disqualify an entrant. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entrant’s e-mail address not to be withheld. Duplicate entries will be void. By entering the competition, entrant consents to receive additional Universal Musicpromotional information. All entrants agree to abide by these rules. All entries become the property of Universal Music Operations Ltd. Entries may be rejected in the sole discretion of Universal Music Operations Ltd, including for reasons of obscenity, defamation or invasion of privacy.


ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open to any legal resident of the UK (excluding; residents of Ireland). All entrants and the person accompanying the winner must be at least 16 years of age to be valid and to be able to prove their age. Employees (and their immediate families or household members) of Universal Music Operations Ltd and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and agents are not eligible to enter this competition. Universal Music Operations Ltd and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and agents are not responsible for any lost, late illegible, incomplete, postage due, misdirected or mutilated mail, any electronic miscommunications or failures, technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer or mobile phone transmissions which may limit entrant’s ability to participate in the competition.


SELECTION: On 14 October 2011 at 6pm (GMT), two winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All decisions of Universal Music Operations Ltd are final and binding on the entrants in all respects. The winners will be notified by telephone and/or email by a representative of Universal Music Operations Ltd within five (5) days of the closing date. Failure to respond immediately will be considered winner’s forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner may be selected from the pool of eligible entries.

PRIZES: Three prize winners will each receive one of the following prizes:

  1. 1 x Super Deluxe Edition Nirvana Nevermind (valued at approximately £80)
  2. 1 x Limited Edition 16x16 inch Nirvana Nevermind canvas print (valued at approximately £50)
  3. 1 x Nirvana Nevermind 20th Anniversary T-shirt (valued at approximately £20). 

 

The allocation of prizes to prize winners will be the sole discretion of UMO and winners will not be entitled to choose which prize they receive. 

There is no cash or other alternative to the prizes stated and the entries and prizes are not transferable and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions. The  winner assumes all responsibility for taxes.

 

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RELEASES: An entrant or winner may be disqualified from the competition if he or she fails to comply with these official rules, as determined in the sole discretion of Universal Music Operations Ltd. Unless prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names and likenesses in all media for publicity purposes without any further compensation. By entering or accepting a prize in the competition, entrants/winners agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and to conform to all laws and regulations.

By entering, participants, winners and persons accompanying the winners, agree to release and hold harmless Universal Music Operations Ltd, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents and representatives from any damage, injury, death, loss, claim, action, demand or other liability that may arise from their acceptance and/or use of prize or their participation in this promotion, or from any misuse or malfunction of any prize awardedUniversal Music Operations Ltd is not responsible for 1) failed, returned or misdirected notifications based on inaccurate information provided by the winner on entry 2) entries, and responses to winner notifications which are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, misdirected, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient in whole or in part or for computer, mobile phone or technical error of any kind. Universal Music Operations Ltd reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this competition should a virus, ‘bug’ or other cause beyond Universal Music Operations Ltd control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the competition. Universal Music Operations Ltd reserves the right to modify the rules of the competition in any way or at any time. These Official Contest Rules and this competition shall be governed by English law and by entering the competition all entrants agree that all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Courts of Justice.
